Integrated with existed supportive funding system, Asian Cinema Fund was newly launched in 2007, with the aim of supporting creative and talented Asian filmmakers and strengthening the network among them.


2007 ACF support was offered in the following three categories: Script Development Fund, Post-Production Fund, and Asian Network of Documentary. And twenty-seven film (feature fiction and documentary) projects have been selected to receive the support.

In particular, five Post-production Support projects and thirteen of AND’s previous projects have been completed and screened at the 12th edition of Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF). Among them, and won New Currents Award, and [Hello, Stranger] was given NETPAC Award. Also, various programs such as ACF Awards Ceremony, Cinematography Master Class and the Cinematography Clinic, a one-on-one consulting program for fund recipients, were held.

In 2008, ACF will continue and enhance its efforts to assist the promotion and development of Asian cinema.
